Our Classroom Website

Welcome!

This year in math, your student will work with using the EnVision math curriculum.

This program was developed to provide comprehensive coverage of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

Homework

You should expect your students to bring home regular homework assignments Monday through Thursday to help them process, practice, and extend the ideas from the lesson.  However, if a student experiences great difficulty with the assigned homework, a parent may simply write and sign a short note excusing the assignment.  I will then follow up with the student to help clear up any confusion. Please click on your child's grade above for homework assignments

Homework from the enVision text comes in three levels: Reteach (for students who are stuggling with the topic), Practice (for students who feel the topic is going okay), and Enrichment (for students who need an extra challenge).

Students/Parents can lo into the envision curriculum at https://www.pearsonrealize.com/index.html#/

Please contact me if your student's username and password did not come home.

Classroom Expectations

We have created a list of teacher and student expectations as a class.  Students will self-reflect daily on their Mathematician log on: Homework, Productivity, Teamwork, Contribution, and Questioning.

We have three class rules:  Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.  If a student cannot follow the agreed upon student expectations, he or she will first receive a verbal warning. If, the behavior does not change, he or she will receive a written warning slip.  If the behavior is still a problem, the student will be asked to move to the back of the room to complete a time out slip.  He or she will be welcome to join class again when ready to learn.
